Akrotiri Museum – Ancient Thira

The excavations in Akrotiri are a significant
geological discovery; they unearthed one of the
most impressive prehistoric settlements of the
Aegean. An experienced museum guide will take
you through the remains of the rediscovered city.
You will follow the narrow stone-paved streets,
the ruins of the main squares and the houses that
doubled as workshops.

Prophet Elias Monastery in Pyrgos
Located near the quaint village of Pyrgos, the
Prophet Elias Monastery sits on the highest point
of the island. Built in 1711, it is not only a
significant cultural landmark, but boasts stunning
panoramic views of the island.

Pyrgos Town – Castle
The former capital of the island, Pyrgos is the
best-preserved medieval settlement in Santorini.
It is a picturesque traditional village full of
cultural authenticity. You will get the chance to
tour the historic castle, which hosts the island’s
largest Easter celebration.

Blue Domes
Firostefani’s view of the famous Blue Domes is a
stunning mix of traditional Greek architecture
and the unique caldera landscape. Set against
the azure blue of the Aegean Sea and the
whitewashed buildings of Fira and Imerovigli, the
Blue Domes are the epitome of Santorini’s
beauty.

Oia
The small village of Oia boasts some of the most
scenic caldera views the island has to offer.
Breathtaking landscape, volcanic views, and
unique architecture are just some of the things
that make Oia unique.
